messed up

I saw the most messed up thing early this morning..

It was early morning and I was walking back to work from Starbucks. I had my nice hot white mocha in one hand and a bagel in the other. I was approaching the intersection and I saw a man in a wheelchair rolling across the street. What caught my attention was that he was using his leg to pull himself along... and here is where I noticed how weird the whole thing was.

He was using his arm and his leg. He had one of each. In addition to having only one arm and one leg, he had one eye. He was missing all three on the same side of his body. After staring for a few moments, I pictured a few scenarios where something like this may have happened to him. My first one was that he lost them in war. The next was that he was riding a motorcycle, fell off and started skidding across the road, leaving pieces of himself behind as he went. Yeah I know.. gross.
