a night of gaming
I finally had a night where I did nothing but sit and play on my new toy(360).
I first played a few demo's I downloaded. First one was the demo for Eternal Sonata. The game was gorgeous. The colors were vibrant and everything seemed very clean. I have read some reviews of the game, and I hear that the game is about 20 hours long, has 11 enemies in the game, and the combat never gets more interesting than what I played on the demo. If I pick it up, I will wait for a price drop. It is still $60 in stores. Even then, I may wait and get the PS3 version, when I have one of course. It supposedly features more characters, and a new dungeon.
The second demo I played was Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Elements. I have never played this on my PC, so I was not sure what to expect. The people that have played the PC version said this version blows, so who knows. I thought it was fun and may be worth a rental at least. If I get a more powerful PC sometime this year, I will pick it up for that. I can get it off Steam for a lot cheaper, unless this game bombs.
So, I then played a little Pacman: CE. I came within 30 seconds of completing one of the extra modes! Seriously, this game is challenging. I played a few games of Geometry Wars afterwards. No new achievements on either one.
Afterwards, it was all about Halo 3. I can easily say that this is my favorite Halo so far. I suppose that is not saying much, since I found Halo 1 to be very overrated, and Halo 2 the same, although I enjoyed it more. The lighting in this game is gorgeous. There have been a few times where I took a break from the fighting just to admire the lighting in certain parts! The textures are nice, and of course, the combat is a lot of fun. That is one thing I can say Halo always had. Fun combat. If I can ever get myself a wireless adapter, I will take this game online.
And that is it.
