my music.. old?
I remember back when I was a kid riding in the car with my dad, we would listen to music on the radio. His station of choice was a station called KFOG in San Jose. I knew of it as an old rock station. Old to a 9 year old boy of course.
A few examples of the bands that would be on that station were Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc. Stuff from the 70's. I tolerated the station of course, and shoved have loved it more considering what he started listening to a few years later(country). But for the most part, I found it old and tired. I wanted some of the new stuff that was on MTV.
So now here I am, sitting here at my desk at work, blasting Nirvana. Earlier I was listening to Pearl Jam. Before that I had Helmet going. Radiohead was also listened to.
In 7 years, is my son going to grumble at all the "old shit" I listen to? Until he enters High School and all the stuff I listened to all of a sudden becomes "cool", and laughs at my CD's, and I laugh at his shitty quality mp3's.
If I still have this site then, I will update it to let everyone know how it went.
