PAIN

As I write this, I have pain right above and below my left eye and it's shooting up towards the top of my head. The muscles in the back of my neck and head feel extremely tight.

This headache has been with me for a month now. It wasn't always constant like it is now. At first I would only experience it during moments of physical activity, like walking to grab lunch. It would go away after a little while. Then, it started showing up more regularly. I would mainly feel pain in the temples, forehead above both eyes, below the eyes, and in the back of my head/neck area. It would come and go, and would occasionally respond to pain killers.

Overtime, it has become more regular. The pain never really got worse, but I would experience the pain in different areas of my head. I had learned how to live with it, since lack of sleep(I will get to that shortly) has been my primary concern.

Yesterday, the pain was normal until the early afternoon. The pain got worse on the left side. I went to the store and grabbed some Excedrin tension headache pills. It did help yesterday when I took it. It has helped this morning, but I forgot it at home and am stuck at work. I expect the pain to be pretty bad later on.

Some people are telling me that this sounds like a stress headache, or tension headache as they are officially known. I have looked at some sites that have described it as either a tension headache, migraine, or daily chronic headache.

I know I need to see a doctor, and I plan to later this week. I will also try to get more sleep and to relax a bit more. Sleep has been hard to get because I take care of my son at night. He likes to wake up and play a lot, which means no sleep for me. A few weeks ago, I went to work on about 30 minutes of sleep.

Anyone reading this deal with headaches like these, and have any tips on dealing with them? Contact me!
