On Friday night, April 8th, I was walking around in my house and thought I heard something about Kurt Cobain on TV. I thought I heard the word death, but I thought nothing of it at the time. A half hour later, I receive a phone call.

Lesli: "Hey, did you hear Kurt Cobain killed himself?"
Me: "What?? Bullshit!"

So I turned on MTV and started watching. They were replaying Nirvana's Unplugged performance. On a commercial, Kurt Loder came on and said that Kurt Cobain was found dead in his home. He had been dead for a few days. It was a suicide.

Nirvana was my favorite band at the time. They are still in my top ten favorites, and probably always will be.
