Birthday Gift Ideas

My birthday is still a few months away(May 25), but I am already thinking about what I want. I need to decide early, because the baby is due a few days before my birthday, and we plan on celebrating it a little early. My wife says she already knows what she plans on getting me, but these are just other ideas I have, since I tend to want a lot of expensive things.

Wacom 6x8 Graphire 3

One of the things I plan on doing with all the free time I have at work is teach myself how to draw, again. I used to draw a lot growing up, and stopped during High School. I want to take it up again, and this time, actually work on being good at it. I also hope it is something that I can do with the baby when he or she gets older. I want the Wacom tablet because I want to do a lot of work on the computer.

Tapwave Zodiac

I have wanted a PDA for a long time now, and I hear the Tapwave Zodiac kicks ass. Not only is it a good PDA based off of the Palm OS, but I hear it plays games rather well. Now, I will admit, gaming on a PDA is not my primary reason for wanting one, especially since I have a Gameboy Advance and will hopefully own a Sony PSP when it is released.

Price for the Zodiac2 128MB version is $299.

Sony Clie PEG TH-55

If I don't get a Tapwave Zodiac, I would glady take this. Ever since I saw a Sony CLIE in action, I have been in love with the thing.

Apple iPod

I have wanted a portable MP3 player for awhile, and I have had my eye on the 15GB Apple iPod. Yes, I could always get a DISCman that plays MP3's, but why would I want to do that?

This model costs $299


Of course, the responsible side of me knows that these are all too expensive and I should settle for a couple of video games, computer parts, a pair of Rayban's, or a pair of Doc Marten's, but I can dream, can't I?
