My neck has been bothering me lately. This started a few months ago. Sometimes, when I would turn my head, I would feel this pulling on the back of it, towards the side. Also, if I turned it all the way, I would feel a dull ache in that area.
It has steadily gotten worse. There was one day over a month ago where I couldn't hold it up straight. It felt like it was being pushed forward, and I was forced to spend the day looking down. I had to lay down to watch TV. That cleared up after a day. Now, I am left with aching where my head and neck meet, in the middle of my upper back where my neck muscles start, and in the back on the sides. I am wondering if this is the reason I have had such a hard time staying asleep at night.
I injured my neck in a car accident 6 years ago. The injury was pretty minor. It didn't feel anywhere near as bad as it does now. I saw a neck massager at Walgreen's the other night, and it looked like it might help, but it also cost $80. I thought about buying one of those pillows that holds your neck in the proper place, but I skipped on it. I don't think I am sleeping wrong.
So, right now, I am sitting here at my desk, and my neck is fucking killing me. I am feeling a dull ache that starts between my shoulders and goes all the way to the base of my head. Also, I have a headache. It feels like it is being pulled in the back. I am the idiot that has not yet made an appointment to see a doctor and find out what the hell is going on.
