One of my coworkers got fired yesterday.
I can't say I am too sad to see him go. When it came to the job, he really wasn't very good at it. A lot of us had to fix his mistakes. What really sucked was the fact that he made more than I do.
I am sitting here trying to figure out why I got out of bed this morning. Do I really want to deal with these dipshits all day long? The installers aren't bad, and most of the ISP's are easy to work with, but I can't stand the fucking end users. Some are friendly, but most are rude, impatient, and worst of all, dumber than a sack of hair.
"My internet is broke"
"Why isn't my email working? It won't receive it when I click the button thingy"
"Your internet is down. Why?"
"My DSL is down. No, I am not in front of the router right now. Should I call from there?"
It was great before this company decided to create their own ISP. All I dealt with was the ISP's and the installers. Smooth sailing. I guess I should be used to it by now, but I came here to get away from end user support.
Enough complaining...
I was browsing Thinkgeek cause I want to decorate my cubicle a little more, and make it a little more fun. I want to get some of this Smart Mass Thinking Putty. I like silly putty, and this stuff looks cool. I also want to get the C.H.I.M.P. so that I can see if someone is looking over my shoulder. I can easily spend a few hundred dollars there.
